| With the development of China's economy, hi-tech ceramics are finding increasing demand in the textile, machinery, electric, chemical, and petroleum industries. Among ceramic materials, ZrO2 and Al2O3 are the most commonly used. For example, friction plates in high speed textile equipment, ceramic plates, temperature-controlled water taps and corundum balls are all produced from these materials. The current production of these products can not meet the demand; as an example, the current insufficiency of corundum balls, friction plates and valve sets are 60 tons, 800 thousand units and 1 million sets annually. Estimated domestic demand for fire brick is 1.5 million per year (3 times the planned capacity after implementation of this project).
