Title Development and Utilization of Coal Bed Methane in Liulin, Shanxi Province
Type Expansion of infrastructure
Description
The infrastructure for the coal mines of Shanxi Province will be expanded to increase CBM production. On the basis of existing test wells, the project will establish a functioning gas field and transportation service for the commercial use of CBM. Technologies and equipment of the project are related to coal bed methane reservoir evaluation, well completion and fracturing stimulation, gas gathering, gas field development and construction.
Rationale
The project will improve the local energy structure, reduce air pollution, help to facilitate local economic development, and provide a good prototype of the entire process of CBM development in China, from investigation to exploitation and utilization.
Outputs
CBM 48,000 M*M*M/day to about 48,000 homes from a total of 25 wells and through 30 km of pipeline.
