Introduction to Local Agenda 21 Division, ACCA21

As one of the divisions of the ACCA21 (Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21), Local Agenda 21 Division focuses on local sustainable development capacity-building at national and local levels, based on experiences of National Sustainable Communities and Pilot Provinces and Cities of Local Agenda 21 Program. Its responsibilities include:
Day-to-day administration of the Sustainable Communities and demo projects; Day-to-day administration of Local Agenda 21 Program; International cooperation in the area of local capacity-building in China; Policy and theoretical research in the field of local sustainable development; Publicity, education and training on local sustainable development; Consulting services in the field of local sustainable development; Other special projects assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology and other government agencies.
