Invitation for Bids for Technical Support for the Project Achievements Symposium and Exchange Activities in China

发布时间 : 2019/5/15 17:51:38

China-Ghana/China-Zambia South-South Cooperation on Renewable Energy Technology Transfer (RETT) project aims to facilitate exchange of expertise and technology between China, Ghana and Zambia, and increase amount of energy used in Africa, to help achieve the UN’s target -- Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL).

After 4 years’ implementation, the main focus has moved from transferring specific and appropriate RETs to Ghana and Zambia on a pilot basis into creating the enabling conditions for scaling up. It is therefore expected that the project could contribute to the increased access and utilization of RETs in Ghana and Zambia. The project would also explore the possibility of developing public/private partnerships and platforms, while the interested private actors shall submit specific business proposals that receive financial support from financial institutions. It is expected that, through the RETT implementation, the newly-created business activities can effectively be self-sustained after the project is completed.

The selected institution shall organize a Project Achievements Symposium in China, including a financial mechanism workshop and a PSC (Project Steering Committee) meeting. The event will promote institutional financing mechanisms to up-scale RETT from China to Ghana and Zambia, and highlight the achievements and summary lessons learned through the implementation of RETT.
